Famous media planner Russell Davies uses his current column in Campaign to give off about those pesky loading pages you get on websites. You know the ones – a little percentage sign appears, or you’ll see a sign saying Please Wait.
He says: “imagine the centre break of Coronation Street with a spokesman for Ford saying ‘Hang on a second, we’ll have ad ad coming right up. In the meantime, look at this little paper plane’. Similarly, imagine how well Amazon or Ebay would be doing if they made you wait like that for everything.”
