Calling all culture vultures (and pint huggers too)

There was a bit of a carnival atmosphere in the streets outside our offices last night with the launch of the Cathedral Quarter Arts Festival. Lots of culture vultures descended on our little part of the city in the evening sunshine, as well as several pint huggers who squeezed into our seats in the local. By the way, this street outside the Duke of York will be transformed on Saturday into an outdoor Ceilidh set with loads of jigging and reeling. Maybe see you there.

The things you see in this part of town

Now and again, we have been known to mosey around the corner to the Duke of York for a beer on a Friday evening. As you can see from the pic, we’re not the only ones. How many other bars in Belfast are frequented by a cossack-hatted perfomer with his circus pony? That’s what makes this end of town so good.
