It’s a Rock ‘n’ Roll life: Elm House visit The Hold Steady

The greatest bar band in the world were playing in Belfast last night and a huge chunk of Elm House went along to see them.

Lively New York combo The Hold Steady packed more energy into one night than our Ross can pack into a fortnight.

Biggest thrill of the night – apart from Mark being mistaken for Jude Law – was when lead singer Craig Finn name-checked our Jonny and Sinead from the stage. Now that is A ROCK ‘N’ ROLL moment. Luckily, our happy snapper was there to capture the ecstatic reaction of the pair.

By the way, Jonny’s actually exhibiting a little more red-eye this morning as he was later invited backstage to do other Rock ‘n’ Roll things with his chums in the band.

We now wonder when our next rock ‘n’ roll “name-check moment” might happen – possibly Michael when he attends Dolly Parton soon.
