Wedding Bells

Brian and Michael went to a wedding.

Mark was there too.

Oh, and so was Ross.

(He’s in the back seat drinking champagne. Typical.)

Seriously though, best wishes to Ross and Patsy from all in the House.

Meet our new client

Good news. Elm House Creative has been appointed as an advertising and design partner of BBC Northern Ireland. We join three other agencies on a select roster to work for Auntie. Looking forward to getting stuck into some nice work.

Steve Blair joins the House

We’re delighted to announce that Steve Blair has joined us here at Elm House Creative.

Formerly Creative Director at AV Browne, Steve joins us as we mark a number of new business wins.

Famed for his print and TV work, Steve has worked extensively on the other side of the Atlantic on brands such as Coca Cola, General Motors, Bacardi, Molson beer, Nestle and many, many more.

More importantly perhaps, Steve also provides Brian with an opportunity to ramble on about the new Bob Dylan album to a more appreciative ear.

Claire’s off to put her feet up

We said cheerio to Claire Daly yesterday for a little while.

Claire’s off to have a well-earned rest ahead of her new arrival in a few weeks.

So we splashed out on a special Chili Tuna Wrap & Monster Munch lunch and listened wistfully as Claire pined for a long, cold beer and a glass or two Sauvignon Blanc later in the year.

Then, as usual, we took a silly photo:

Yes Nuge, she’s huge: Niall ‘Nuge’ Nugent shares a tender moment with the expectant Mum.

Striders cross the line in new record time

Well, that was easy. No sore calves, thighs, ankles or knees among the team that stormed home in the Belfast Marathon yesterday. Not even a blistered toe. And, above all, no no-shows at work today. We’re obviously a whole lot fitter than we thought.

(In fact, Brian is sorer than all our runners put together after traipsing the streets of Glasgow at the weekend.)

And to cap it all, a new record time set by Joanne, Bettina, Peter, Mark and Sam*. Well done, everyone – that pretty much sets the standard for Ross and Mark running the New York Marathon in November.

* 4 hours, 37 minutes. And still smiling. Well done!

Stirring words as we Stride to Victory

Those darned Hollywood scriptwriters have been nicking ideas from our Monday morning meetings again. How else do you explain this blatant series of rip-offs?

Still, it’s with words such as these that we send forth our gallant Elm House Striders to the melee that will be the Belfast Marathon on Monday.

Go forth, gang.

And run… run like the wind.
